| So I guess its been awhile since I have written... as a certain room mate of mine pointed out
Finals week is approaching and motivation in the Sunset house is quickly dissipating. Well I can't speak for everyone in the house. A couple of my room mates... ummm okay all of them... were quite motivated to finish (or ahem...start...) their papers at 12 am that were due the following day! They are all my heroes- I am not sure I could handle the stress. Needless to say, at 2 am Savannah decided to forgo her desk and create a cozy study corner on the floor complete with her desktop computer, pillows, a 2 liter bottle of coke and chocolate cake- hahaa Gosh I love my roomies!
Speaking of roomies- its almost time for one of the Sunset girls to leave. She is moving out to Berry Lane to live some pretty amazing girls. I am going to miss her a lot but I am excited for next year. We will be down to 3 in the house which means we all will get our long awaited own rooms! The moving process will of course begin right in the middle of finals week (I mean come on are- do you think we are really going to be studying anyway!) Also scheduled is late night watching of Friends DVD's and the semi-annual tradition of watching HP movies. Kinz and I love our HP- you muggles just wouldn't understand.
So in less than a week I will be done with my sophomore year Then a couple days after that I go hiking in the Appalachian trail for 4 days with Josh and his family! I am really excited about that- a tad bit worried about bears (some of you know why I am concerned for that... oh gosh!) And then I get to go home to CT! Woohoo! I hope this week flies...
Well that's it for now... Happy studying!
| So I had my interview for nursing this past Sat. It was a group interview in which all 5 people in the group everyone got the "opportunity" to answer each question. There were four questions that went down the row. And each person did there absolute best to basically restate what has already been said. (PS being in seat number 4 was not to my advantage). If I got money for the amount of times the words nurturing and compassion came up I would have already quit school, have moved to the Bahamas and would be curled up in a hammock on the beach instead of writing this.
The best question was "What work experience do you have that you believe has qualified you for a career in nursing?" The first person went and described all his responsibilities in the ER of the hospital he has been volunteering at for the past 2 years. Next up was a freshman who described her experience as an Army med for the past 6 or so years of her life where she dealt directly with the soldiers fixing their burns, wounds, abrasions, administering IV's, etc... The next girl laughed and said how hard it was to follow that, then went on to describe how she had been volunteering at the Vet during the school year since she was 14 and then in the summer she would volunteer at a local hospital ... Now its my turn... and I describe how I have mastered the anatomy of a chicken by working at Chick-fil-A for 2 years... hmmmm.
It was not as bad as I am making it out to be. The interview over all went okay. I am excited about possibly getting admitted into the nursing program but not at all obsessing over it. God has His hand in it all. And I know that He will place me in a career that will allow His will to be carried out.

| This week has absolutely FLOWN by! If the days continue to go by as fast as they have this week then summer should be here in no time... that is my desire anyway! I am ready to be done with classes!
Spring break came and went and was amazing! I LOVE NOLA!!! What a great place. I never would have thought that tearing down houses could be so much fun. God sure had his hand in it. I think everybody was benefited. The owners of the house were so encouraged by our willingness to help out and yet we were so happy to be there too. The trip really allowed me to get to know a lot of people. I met so many new friends and also had the opportunity to become better aquatinted with those people that I already knew. Port-a-potties, cots, community showers, mold, HUGE cock roaches, fowl smells, 200 people in one tent... yet no trip to Daytona could have topped it!

| Xanga
So I felt encouraged by Steph Whilmhoff (probably unbeknownst to her!) to start up a Xanga website. This could be fun- I will probably ramble on about a lot of things you all probably don't care about- let this be your warning! I got to go to work- The chicken house is calling (AKA Chick-fil-A) I'll be back!
